Your party may book the entire island, all inclusive. Our All Inclusive Belize Island Rental Package features 13 villas, making it ideal for a group of 24-26 guests, but can hold up to 30 guests. Each villa can be set up with a king bed or two twin beds for added flexibility.
Accommodation
Overwater Bungalows
If your dream vacation includes a room over-the-water, our bungalows are for you! Each of our 5 overwater bungalows are built on stilts out over the ocean. With stunning 180 degree views of distant islands and clear blue water they are a true vacationer’s paradise.
Relax and unwind in a hammock on your private patio, which sways in the warm island breezes. Even though the Bungalows have air conditioning, we recommend opening the windows and enjoying the cool air provided by the ocean. Each over-the-water bungalow is colorfully decorated, has an en-suite bathroom, and offers your choice of a king size bed or two twin size beds.
Island Cabanas
Beautifully located, our four elegant and spacious island cabanas have spectacular ocean views, en-suite baths, king-sized or two twin beds, window seats, easy chairs and dining tables. A 400 sq. ft. private roof patio with hammocks and lounge chairs complete your spacious home away from home. Island Cabanas have air conditioning, but we recommend opening the windows and enjoying the cool breeze provided by the Caribbean Sea.
Each Island Cabana offers your choice of a king size bed or two twin size beds. Children under 12 stay in the cabana for free with the purchase of a kid’s package. Additional adults can be added to stay in the cabana with the purchase of full price packages, but it is not recommended.
Overwater Villas
Perched high above the sea, our more spacious overwater villas easily accommodate 2 adults very comfortably. These villas share a large deck with hammocks swaying in the seabreeze. Our villas are a friendly close-knit group of thatched overwater bungalows nestled together over the sea. With individual bathrooms with shower, and air-conditioning (but you likely won’t need it), villas are a great way for budget-conscious travelers to get the overwater experience
Dining
At Thatch Caye Resort, we know how important your dining experience is. We hire the best local chefs to ensure we have a wide variety of Belizean and international dishes. We cater to any dietary needs, just let us know when you book your trip what you require.
Your typical daily menu consists of one of a fresh cooked, made to order breakfast, a traditional Belizean lunch, afternoon snack and your choice of two authentic entrees for dinner.

Book your international arrival flight into Belize International Airport (BZE) You are able to fly into Belize International Airport (BZE) on most major airlines. When visiting Thatch Caye Resort, please book your international flight into Belize City for an arrival no later than 3:30 pm. The last Maya Island Air or Tropic Air flights depart Belize City for Dangriga at 5:00 pm.
Let us take care of arranging your flight to Dangriga. Once arriving to Belize International Airport (BZE), most guests take a short commuter flight to Dangriga on Maya Island Air or Tropic Air. Once you have arrived in Dangriga, our friendly staff will meet you and take you to our dock for the 9 miles crossing from Dangriga to the island. The shuttle is approximately 25 minutes.
